It was then that, “the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves” (Genesis 3-7). We are taught that the first act of sin that entered the earth was when Eve and Adam ate from the tree that was forbidden to them.
It is this act that has and will forever change our lives, as His mercy gave us a life of freedom and unconditional love, instead of a life of sin and judgement. This is only possible because Jesus died on the cross and took on our sins as His own so that we may be free.
From a young age we are taught that when we accept God into our heart and recognize Him as our Heavenly Father and the King of Kings, we are forgiven of our sins.
